Sunil Gavaskar quextions Virat Kohli's automatic Selection as Captain Post World Cup


The 70-year-old feels that there should have been a formal meeting to ponder over the reappointment
of Kohli.








After Team India's unexpected exit from World Cup 2019, renowned former Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar has slammed the BCCI Selection Committee and also questioned the way captain Virat Kohli is getting to choose his team.



"That they selected the team for West Indies without first having a meeting to select the captain brings. up the question of whether Virat  Kohli is the captain of the team at his or the selection committee's pleasure", wrote Gavaskar.
         


"To the best of our knowledge his (Kohli's) appointment was till the World Cap. After that, it was incumbert on the selectors to meet even if it was for five his reappointment".




However, the M.S.K Prasad led selection committee named Kohli as Captain of the team across all the three formats for the windies tour that starts with T20Is.
