India is blessed with many clean and green city. Due to the growing population, the number of inhabitants of the slums rises in the Indian cities. The area of slums increasingly lacks in basic needs of clean water, electricity, and sewerage. Residents are mostly rickshaw, housemaids servants, small seasonal vendors with a family income ranging from a meager Rs 1500/- to  Rs 3000/-. After a tough and low - pay day job, most men spend their daily salaries on illegal alcohol at home.


Dharavi Slum Mumbai


The dream city of India, Mumbai holds the most significant slum area in India, which is know as Dharavi. It is Asia's largest slum which is spread over an area of 175 km. In Mumbai, there are many slum areas and Dharavi is one of them.

Bhalswa  Slum Delhi


In the ''Heart of India'', the population of the poor is considered to be 20% of the total population of Delhi. Also, it has most considerable child labors and tends to the bank of inhabitants of the slums from various parts of Delhi has been settled in Bhalswa. The government of Delhi has planned to survey to prepare a database of the people of this area to help them.

Nochikuppam Slum Chennai





''The City of Flyover'' has a Nochikuppam district with 1300 huts, in which around 5000 people are living below the poverty line and do have enough money to fill their stomach.

Basanti Slum Kolkata




Kolkata, The City of Joy, has a slum area with name Basanti slum. It is slum area in Kolkata. Accroding to a survey, one-third population of Kolkata lived in 3500 unrgistered and 2011 registered siums.

Rajendra Nagar Slum Bangalore




''The garden city'' of our country-Bangalore has total 570 slums. According to reports, Bangalore's 20% population resides in slums.

Indiramma Nagar Hyderabad




''The city of Nizam'' Hyderabad holds around 624689 peoples who live in the slum area. Out of the total, only 104 slums are identified, and 24 are unidentified.

Saroj Nagar Slum Nagpur




  Nagpur - The Orange City in India has 424 legal slum areas. One of the biggest slums among 424 is Sarojnagar in which approximately 40% population live. Sarojnagar is a home for around 142000 people.
