New Delhi: Former India Captain MS Dhoni's spell with his Territorial Army Unit
has ended. The veteran Wicketkeeper -Batsman is now in New Delhi with wife
Sakshi and daughter Ziva.
Dhoni had takena break from Cricket following the conclusion of India's campaign
in the 2019 World Cup that was held in England and in that period,He joined the
106 TA Battalion (Para) in Jammu for a two-week stint.
The 37- years- old, who holds an honorary title of Lieutenant Cononel in the Territorial
Army, Completed his stint on August 15.
Dhoni was deployed in the Kashmir valley as pert of the Victor Force and took the duties
of patrolling, guard and Post duty.The Unit is deployed in the Militancy-infested South
Kashmir region as part of Victor Force.
"In fact, he will be protecting a lot of other people because he will now be performing with
the 106 Territorial Army Battalion (Para). It is a very good Battalion and they have been
performing line of communication duties, static protection and he will be a part of it.
"I don't think we will need to protect him, He will protect the citizens and garrison entrusted
to his task", The Army Chief had said.
He was later in Ladakh on the eve of the 73rd Independence Day and images of him
Playing Cricket with the kids there was all over the Social media.
