Gunman on the run after killing 2 in rush hour traffic on I-10

A man armed with a rifle shoot and killed 2 people during the busy rush hour commute on Thursday evening, Police said. The shooting happened on Houston's east side in the middle lanes of the

 I-10/East Freeway near Federal.

Police are investigating an early morning shooting at an apartment complex in northeast Houston. Officers say they responded to a shooting callaround 2:20 on Saturday morning at a complex off of Shady Lane and Parker Road.

The family Mizael Lazaro Arellanes says he left his apartment to get tacos, but never came back.

Police say that Arellanes wallet was gone,leading investigators to look into robbery as a motive.

Arellanes father was at work when he got the call that his son had been shoot. He is devastated.

"Just nice guy to everybody liked my son. He was a good worker", said Antonio Morales. When

Officers arrived, they found the 37-year-old victim lying on the sidewalk with a gunshoot wound.

"The patrol Officers called HFD. The patrol Officers performed CPR, when HFD arrived they pronounced the male dead. We have no suspects or witnesses at this time'', said investigator Kenneth  

Elliot with the Houston Police Department.

On Saturday morning, Police were knocking on doors, hoping to get information from the apartment

residents.

Gunman Fired as the Car Rolled Doen the Hill

Two Occupants from the vehicle that hit the other came out, and one had a weapon, Police said.

He started firing at the vehicle they'd just hit and pursued it as it rolled down the hill, firing round,

Police said.

"At one point, the vehicle came to a stop. He got in front of the vehicle and fired rounds into the front windshield of the vehicle", Dobbins said. "Road rage? An accident? Narcotics? We just don't know

yet so I won't speculate, he added. I will say there were narcotics found in this vehicle."
