Ben Affleck Film "THE WAY BACK" Moves Release to March 2020

Aug. 5 (UPI).... Ben Affleck's mew film "The Way Back" is moving up its release to March 2020.


The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Monday that Warner Bros. Shifted the release date from Oct.18 to March 6, 2020.



The upcoming film has gone through a few title changes and been refeffed to The Has Been and Torrance at different points in time. Affleck stars in the movie as a former basketball superstar who, in an attempt to put is addiction problems behind him, takes up a job coaching high school baksetball 
at his alma mater. The Way Back reunites the Oscar-winner with his The Accountant director, Gavin  
O'Connor, and marks his first movie with WB sence Justice League came out two years ago.



The fact that the film parallels Affleck's own real -world struggles with addiction only add a deeper layer of meaning to what already sounds like a promising drama on paper. The situation has since changed changed, however, and "The Way Back" is no longer hitting theaters this year at all.
